netextras server SMTP Settings
Check server settings for outgoing (SMTP) email account in Mac OS X Mail.app
Open Mail Preferences
Select Accounts
Select email account
Select the account you wish to edit
Check SMTP (outgoing mail server) settings
Select Advanced Tab
If your server is already set to netextras
If your outgoing Mail server (SMTP) is already set to either smtp.netextras.com or mail.netextras.com, then you are all good, if it is not, then proceed to the next step.
Select/edit your Outgoing Mail sever list
You may only have one server in your list- that's OK, simply select "Edit SMTP Server list..."
You now need to add mail.netextras.com as an outgoing server
1) click the "+" icon (the description field and the server name will be blank)
2) In the Description Field enter netextras.com ( this doesn't affect any functionality, it's merely an identifier for you)
3) In the Server Name, enter mail.netextras.com
4) Now click the Advanced tab
Turn ON SSL for SMTP
Select your Server (1) (or make sure it's still selected)
Turn on "Use Secure Sockets Layer"
Your "Authentication" method should also be set Password, and you should have your username (full email address) and your password filled in as well.
Click OK
Close Preferences Window
When asked to Save Changes, click Save.
You're DONE!
