GGovernance VPN Settings

Describes how to setup VPN under Mac OS X for vpn.governance.com

Select System Preferences from Apple Menu

Select Network system preference

Select Network system preference

Add new network setting

Add new network setting

Click the + sign to add a new network connection

Note: Your existing settings will no doubt look different from above, that's OK

 

Select VPN as the interface

Set VPN type and name the service

  1. Set the VPN Type to PPTP
  2. Give the service a name ( this can be whatever you want it's simply an identifier )

Click Create

Add server Address and Account name

  1. Set the server address to vpn.ggovernanceadvisors.com
  2. Enter your account name

Click Authentication Settings

Set Password

Enter your password

Click OK

Go to advanced Settings

Click Advanced button

Select DNS

Select DNS

Click DNS tab

Add Search Domain

Add Search Domain

Click the + sign at the bottom  of the search domain window and enter ggovernanceadvisors.com

Click OK

Connect

Connect

Click Connect button

Troubleshooting

The frist thing to check is your network IP, your local network and the BVPN network IP ranged must be different.

Make sure your local IP address does NOT start with 10.

( Check either your ethernet or wireles settings within the network system preferences for the IP address)
